This study guide contains very little didactic material and is designed to be used with the 1994 edition of the author's textbook on Computed Tomography. The book is composed of topic outlines, key word lists, and study exercises. Answers are provided for all true/false and multiple choice questions. The purpose of this guide is to review the subject matter in the textbook, provide a self-assessment, ensure mastery of the content, and provide practice in answering multiple choice questions. The book meets the author's objectives but has shortcomings. This book is written for the radiologic technologist desiring certification in computed tomography. The level and subject matter covered is appropriate for this audience. The author is a registered radiologic technologist and demonstrates a wide experience with and knowledge of CT. Illustrations in the book consist of labeled clinical CT images, allowing the student to identify anatomical detail. These are well done and very adequate for the purpose. The table of contents, index, and overall presentation of the book are very satisfactory. This book is based on a good concept -- a comprehensive review and study guide covering technical and clinical aspects of CT. It is well laid out and covers the material well. The usefulness of this book, however, is compromised because of numerous errors. Readers must be cautioned that some of the answers given in the book are incorrect.
